PARTY OF ONE

A rope labyrinth surrounds an oversized, inverted mirror ball.  Participants stand on a small lit stage with their head inside the ball, where they see an infinitely repeated view of the inside of the ball.

Many of my pieces conflate the role of audience and actor. Standing inside this inside-out mirror ball, you are surrounded by a swirling galaxy of infinitely-reflecting visions of yourself, interleaved with peeks at the outside world. Standing on a tiny lit stage with your head in a ball, surrounded by a velvet-rope labyrinth, you are also the awkward centerpiece of the room.
